Design & Manufacturing Yo-Yo

In my Design and Manufacturing II course, I collaborated with a team to design and manufacture 50 custom yo-yos. Utilizing Fusion 360, we created original CAD designs and employed CAM to mill mold blanks. These blanks were integral in injection molding various components of the yo-yo.

I spearheaded the SLA printing of thermoforming molds, focusing on Patrick's dome and floor designs. Throughout the semester, we conducted multiple design reviews to refine our product and processes.

We encountered challenges with tolerances and press-fits; however, through diligent quality control, we successfully identified and resolved these issues, ensuring the functionality and aesthetics of our final products.
